Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using your default IDE.

Out of the box, Daytona can be configured to open your Workspace in the following IDEs:

Set the Default IDE

You can set the default IDE used by Daytona. Daytona allows you to connect to your development environment using a variety of IDEs, including popular options like Visual Studio Code (VSCode) and JetBrains IDEs.

By setting the default IDE, you can automatically open your development environment in your preferred environment, optimizing your workflow and reducing setup time.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu to select your default IDE.

Upon selecting, Daytona will set it as the default IDE You can now automatically open Workspaces with the selected default IDE already connected.

Set the Workspace IDE

You can set the default Workspace IDE used by Daytona. Daytona allows you to connect to your development environment using a variety of IDEs, including popular options like Visual Studio Code (VSCode) and JetBrains IDEs.

By setting the default Workspace IDE, you can automatically open your development environment in your preferred environment, optimizing your workflow and reducing setup time.

  1. Expand the selected Workspace to view its configuration and details.
  2. Click the Launch remote environment dropdown menu to select your default IDE for the Workspace.

Upon selecting, Daytona will set it as the default IDE for the selected Workspace. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the default IDE already connected.

VS Code

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select VS Code as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set VS Code as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the VS Code IDE.

VS Code Browser

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) Browser IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select VS Code Browser as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set VS Code Browser as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the VS Code Browser IDE.

JetBrains CLion

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains CLion IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select CLion as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains CLion as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains CLion IDE.

JetBrains GoLand

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains GoLand IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select GoLand as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains GoLand as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains GoLand IDE.

JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate IDE.

JetBrains PhpStorm

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains PhpStorm IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select PhpStorm as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains PhpStorm as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains PhpStorm IDE.

JetBrains PyCharm Professional

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains PyCharm Professional IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select PyCharm Professional as your default IDE

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains PyCharm Professional as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains PyCharm Professional IDE.

JetBrains Rider

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains Rider IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select Rider as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains Rider as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains Rider IDE.

JetBrains RubyMine

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains RubyMine IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select RubyMine as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains RubyMine as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains RubyMine IDE.

JetBrains WebStorm

Daytona allows you to connect to your Workspace using JetBrains WebStorm IDE.

  1. In the Daytona dashboard, navigate to your profile account icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Default IDE dropdown menu and select WebStorm as your default IDe

Upon selecting, Daytona will set JetBrains WebStorm as the default IDE for opening Workspaces.s. You can now automatically open the Workspace with the JetBrains WebStorm IDE.
